Psalm 104:31 (NLT) says, “May the glory of the Lord continue forever! The Lord takes pleasure in all he has made!” This verse touches me deeply. Can you imagine that the Creator of the universe takes pleasure in you? The God who shaped the stars, crafted the oceans, and breathed life into all creation is pleased with you, just as you are. You are not an afterthought or a mistake; you were lovingly formed, and your existence brings joy to the heart of God.
It’s incredible to think about because life has a way of making us feel unwanted or unloved at times. When people reject you, when you feel abused or abandoned, when lack and hardship surround you, or when humiliation comes from every side, remember this: God takes pleasure in you. Even in your lowest moments, His eyes are still on you with love, delight, and care.
Think about how a parent beams with pride over their child—talking about them, protecting them, ensuring their well-being. That’s how God feels about you. You are in the softest place in His heart. In Zephaniah 3:17 (NLT), it says, “For the Lord your God is living among you. He is a mighty saviour. He will take delight in you with gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.”
God’s pleasure in you means He longs to pour out His goodness in your life. He sees your worth and loves you beyond measure. It’s such a powerful truth to hold onto in the storms of life. Rest in the fact that God delights in you. His joy in you will never fade, and He will never stop cherishing you, no matter what happens.
Let this truth settle in your heart. God sees you, He delights in you, and He loves you endlessly. Have peace knowing you are the joy of His heart. Be blessed, my friend.
